Best Practices

Start with Block Rules

Begin by blocking emails you don't need drafts for:

  • Automated notifications

  • Marketing emails

  • System alerts

Be Specific

Use specific filter values to avoid accidentally blocking wanted emails:

  • ❌ "booking" (too broad)

  • ✅ "Booking.com - New Reservation" (specific)

Test Your Filters

After creating a filter:

  1. Wait for a matching email

  2. Check if it was processed correctly

  3. Adjust if needed

Use Descriptions

Add descriptions to remember why each filter exists, especially for complex setups.
