Before you start with Opally, make sure you have everything you need.
Essential Requirements
You'll need one of the following email providers:
Google Workspace account (business) or personal Gmail
Microsoft 365 / Office 365 account
Tip: Use your hotel's shared inbox (e.g., reception@yourhotel.com) for best results.
Opally works in all modern browsers:
Google Chrome (recommended)
Internet Connection
A stable internet connection is required for:
Accessing the Opally dashboard
Real-time email notifications
For IT Administrators
Outlook / Microsoft 365
If your organization has security policies:
Admin consent may be required for Opally to access mailboxes
Permissions required:
Mail.ReadWrite – Read and write mail
Mail.ReadWrite.Shared – Access shared mailboxes
MailboxSettings.ReadWrite – Manage mailbox settings
User.Read – Basic user profile
Gmail / Google Workspace
If your organization has Google Workspace:
Users can connect individually without admin approval
No organization-wide consent required
Scopes required:
gmail.modify – Read emails, create drafts, manage labels
userinfo.profile – User profile information
userinfo.email – User email address

PMS Integration
To enable real-time availability in responses, you'll need:
An account with a supported PMS (Mews, Apaleo, Opera, etc.)
API credentials from your PMS provider

To add the chatbot to your website:
Access to edit your website's HTML
Ability to add JavaScript to your pages

Voice Assistant
To handle phone calls with AI:
Twilio account (Opally helps set this up)
A phone number to forward calls to Opally
