Managing Conversations

View and manage chatbot conversations from your Opally dashboard.

Accessing Conversations

Go to Chat in the sidebar to see all conversations.

The Conversation List

Each conversation shows:

  • Visitor – Name (if provided) or anonymous identifier

  • Platform – Web chat, WhatsApp, Messenger, etc.

  • Last message – Preview of the most recent message

  • Time – When the conversation happened

Viewing a Conversation

Click any conversation to see:

  • Full message history

  • AI responses and visitor messages

  • Timestamps for each message

Regenerating Responses

If an AI response wasn't ideal:

  1. Click the regenerate button on the message

  2. A new response is generated

  3. Rate the response to help Opally improve

Filtering Conversations

Filter by:

  • Platform – Web, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram

  • Date range – Today, this week, custom

  • Status – Active, resolved

Conversation Analytics

Track chatbot performance:

  • Total conversations

  • Average messages per conversation

  • Common topics

  • Resolution rate
