Phone Setup

Configure Opally's Voice Assistant to handle your hotel's incoming calls.

Getting Started

Voice setup requires coordination with our team. Contact us to get started:

Managing Phone Numbers

Once voice is set up, you can manage your phone numbers in Opally:

  1. Go to Calls in the sidebar

  2. Click Manage Numbers

  3. View your connected phone numbers

  4. Add or remove numbers as needed

Adding a Phone Number

  1. Click Manage Numbers

  2. Enter the phone number in E.164 format (e.g., +4533123456)

  3. Click Add

Note: Adding a new number requires setup on our end. Contact us after adding the number.

Call Handover

When the AI can't help a caller or the caller requests a human, calls can be transferred to your team.

Setting Up Handover

  1. Go to Calls > Manage Numbers

  2. Find the Call Handover section

  3. Toggle Enable call handover

  4. Enter your handover phone number (where calls should be transferred)

  5. Click Save

The handover number should be:

  • Your front desk direct line

  • A mobile number for on-call staff

  • Any number that can receive transferred calls

Viewing Call Logs

The Calls page shows:

  • Conversations tab – All calls with transcripts

  • Leads tab – Guest information collected during calls

  • Analytics tab – Call volume and performance metrics

Call Details

Click on any call to see:

  • Full transcript of the conversation

  • Call duration and status

  • Handover information (if transferred)

  • Lead details (if collected)

Troubleshooting

Calls not reaching Opally

  • Check call forwarding settings with your phone provider

  • Verify the phone number is correctly configured

Poor audio quality

  • Test your internet connection

  • Contact support for audio optimization

AI not understanding callers

  • Review transcripts for patterns

  • Update Knowledge Base with missing information

  • Check language settings
