Quick Start
Get Opally up and running in just a few minutes. By the end of this guide, you'll have AI-powered email drafts ready in your inbox.
What You'll Need
A Gmail or Outlook email account (the one you use for guest communication)
Your hotel's website URL
About 10 minutes
Step 1: Sign Up
Go to app.opally.com
Enter your email address and create a password
Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
Click Create Account
You'll be taken to the onboarding wizard
Step 2: Add Your Hotel Information
Enter your hotel's website URL and click Continue.
Opally will automatically:
Extract your hotel name and description
Pull in basic information about your property
Add this to your knowledge base
Tip: You can skip this step and add information manually later, but the automatic extraction saves time.
Step 3: Connect Your Email
This is the most important step. Click on either:
Gmail – if you use Google Workspace
Outlook – if you use Microsoft 365
You'll be redirected to Google or Microsoft to grant Opally permission to:
Read incoming emails
Create draft replies in your inbox
After authorizing, you'll be returned to Opally with a success message.

Step 4: Set Your AI's Personality
This is where you tell Opally how to sound like you. You have two options:
Option A: Let AI Learn from Your Emails (Recommended)
Click Generate from my emails. Opally will:
Fetch your recent sent emails
Analyze your writing patterns
Generate personalization settings automatically
This takes about 30 seconds.
Option B: Fill in Manually
Set these five fields yourself:
Role
What role should the AI play?
"Front desk receptionist at Hotel & Spa Copenhagen"
Tone of Voice
How should responses feel?
"Warm, professional, and helpful"
Writing Style
Any formatting preferences?
"Keep replies concise, use bullet points for lists"
Avoidances
What should the AI never say?
"Never promise specific room numbers or upgrades"
Email Signature
Your standard sign-off
"Best regards, Maria - Front Desk Team"
Click Save & Finish when done.
Step 5: You're Ready!
You'll land on your dashboard. Here's what happens next:
When a guest emails you → Opally reads the email and creates a draft reply
You review the draft → Open your inbox (Gmail or Outlook) and find the draft
Edit if needed → Make any changes you want
Send → Hit send like you normally would
That's it! Opally works in the background – you'll see drafts appear in your inbox automatically.
