Connect your Microsoft 365 or Outlook account to Opally.

Quick Setup

  1. Go to Integrations in the sidebar (or during onboarding)

  2. Click Outlook

  3. Sign in with your Microsoft account

  4. Click Accept to grant permissions

  5. You're connected!

Admin Approval Required?

If you see "Admin approval required":

  • Your organization's security policy requires IT admin consent

  • Contact your IT administrator

  • Share the IT Admin Guide below

IT Admin Setup

For IT administrators who need to grant organization-wide consent.

Microsoft 365 can require admin approval before users connect third-party apps. This is a security feature.

Option 1: Per-User Approval

  1. Azure Portal > Microsoft Entra ID > Enterprise applications

  2. Find "Opally"

  3. Permissions > Grant admin consent

Option 2: Organization-Wide

  1. Global Administrator visits the admin consent URL

  2. Reviews permissions

  3. Accepts for the organization

Revoking Access

Azure Portal > Enterprise applications > Opally > Delete

Shared Mailboxes

Opally can access shared mailboxes you have permission to:

  • Team inboxes

  • Department mailboxes

  • Reception accounts

Ensure your account has "Send As" or "Full Access" permissions on the shared mailbox.

Troubleshooting

"Admin approval required"

  • Contact your IT administrator

  • Share this documentation page with them

Drafts not appearing

  • Check your Drafts folder in Outlook

  • Verify the email was received recently

  • Check excluded addresses in Personalization

Connection errors

  • Try a different browser (Edge recommended for Microsoft accounts)

  • Clear browser cookies

  • Verify your organization hasn't blocked the app
